A leading international company, active in the chemical and innovative solutions business, is currently looking for a Trade Risk Analyst to monitor, control and work alongside their hard commodities trading team. The company has a worldwide presence and is known as one of the best employers in Belgium!

Job description
You will be part of the team that is responsible for the follow-up and control of the financial risk management activities and the administration related to the sourcing and trading of feedstock, products and energy and greenhouse gas emissions of the Business Unit.

Your main tasks will consist of the following:
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly P&L and financial risk statement. This includes full analysis of the results and a summary of actions to be taken.
- Communicate and close follow up of traders' activities and risk positions.
- Produce, monitor and publish the prices of certain commodities for the internal market of the company. This includes the optimization of the model as well the development and improvement of the process.
- You will take an active part in the BU month end accounts closing procedures.
- Define hedge accounting relationships and prepare documentation.
- You will be involved in the daily calculation of price risk position, administer the financial risk aspects of contracts, maintenance of the price database, monitoring credit exposure and determine credit limits.
- You will be involved in the optimization of the trading processes, IT systems and other ad hoc projects.
- Ensure compliance with national laws and the company's procedures and processes.

Profiel:
We are looking for a high potential candidate with strong analytical and communication skills who is eager to learn. A first working experience in a financial role is a plus (but not required). You have a strong educational background in finance as a commercial engineer or equivalent. Furthermore, you are skilled in financial modeling (Excel) and you master English at business level. You are a flexible team player who is able to build successful and lasting relationships. As a consequence we are looking for an open and honest personality who combines a high level of integrity with respect towards others.
