Job description
- Source new business through traditional methods including working with Account Managers across the EMEA region;
- Produce and manage an effective new business pipeline outside the IT market;
- Ensure customer satisfaction, retention and development and take a consultative approach in delivering solutions tailored to individual customer needs;
- Present a professional company image to all customers at all times Assist with customer queries in a timely fashion;
- Be responsible for commercial negotiations and pricing & profitability enhancements;
- Give presentations and complete tenders, coordinating with other regions for the RFQ/RFP (Request for Quotation/Request for Proposal) process;
- Provide timely and accurate business information, reporting and forecasting;
- Liaise with Operations management teams to ensure new business requirements are planned with adequate resources available;
- Ensure customer agreements and 'statements of work' (SOW) are produced and distributed to the business when and where required;
- Take responsibility for projects within the business such as new service offerings Assist in the implementation of large and strategic new business;
- Leverage our CRM SalesForce.com;
- Share best practices with the other IML Regions (US, Asia, Latin America).
Profiel:
- Degree in either Business, Economics, Sales & Marketing, Logistics, Finance or equivalent through experience
- At least 5-10 years track record in a Third Party Logistics (3PL) Sales department with thorough knowledge and experience of the 3PL Market and field sales experience
- Good understanding of Finance and Activity Based Costing / Pricing / Margin
- Project Management experience
- Excellent organizing and planning skills; ability to prioritize Good analytical skills
- Experience in Business Process Improvement - Six sigma knowledge is an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively both cross-functionally and at the highest levels of the organization
- Ability to work in a matrix environment - influencing skills and team player Self-reliant, independent, problem solver
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity Strong presentation skills
- Good understanding of the distribution industry and 'same day' services The ability to meet and exceed targets for sal
