We are looking for an ambitious Business Unit Analyst for our Business Unit Actuators and Opto products.
He/She will consolidate, analyze and interpret business critical information, to enable fast and reliable decision making.
Accountabilities:
You support the process of consolidating, analyzing and interpreting P&L and quality data relating to the business processes that affect the Melexis bottom line. These business processes include Financial evalution of new business cases and Quarterly reviews of the Business Unit (BU).
You consolidate the Sales Forecast and Sales Opportunity data to support the business plans for the next 3 to 5 years.
You track and report all KPI’s defined at BU level (planning for next year and in 3 years: X+1 / X+3 plans) and analyze the progress of corrective actions.
You ensure that the product portfolio data is maintained in the ERP and CRM system and distributed throughout the organization:
You monitor the cost structure of the product before it goes in production, to check actual costs versus budget.
After production start, you maintain logistical and financial information in our IT systems to facilitate the business processes.
You check the end-of-life process to minimize inventory and scrap costs.
You ensure that all available intelligence on markets, products and customers is integrated in the long term forecasting process

Profiel:
Technical Competencies:
- You are able to understand the business processes behind the system, extract the appropriate data to support the decision making process; knowledge of ERP and CRM systems; affinity with Oracle and Salesforce is a plus
- You have the right analytical skills to understand complex processes
- Thorough understanding of cost accounting and financial indicators understand concepts as GPM, NPM, NPV, ROI.
- You have commercial feeling in order to assess impact of claims from customers or suppliers
- You have negotiation and communication skills to report to all levels of the organization
Requirements:
- Masters’ degree in economics
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- You are willing to learn continuously, you are energetic, assertive, you promote a positive attitude even in adverse circumstances
- You are able to make sound and objective judgments
- You are a number cruncher
