Accountabilities:
In your position you define optimized technical system solutions for the Melexis products together with the customer and the business units through ensuring the most optimal time-to-market, product/project costs and planning.
You translate the approved product proposal into a design approach within the Melexis way of working in order to create the activities framework for the development team.
You contribute to the top level simulation, cross checks and product evaluation by coaching the team to guarantee the optimal product quality.
You stimulate the re-use concept at all levels of the product development phase in order to reduce time-to-market and improve product quality.
You ensure the exchange of knowledge inter and intra site in order to maximize the technical leadership of Melexis.

Technical Competencies:
- You translate the customer needs into a system level solution and to cascade down the requirements into the specific block specification.
- You have thorough knowledge of modeling skills principles and you can simulate block, mix-mode and top level design (analog and digital)
- You apply knowledge of test concepts during the design phase in order to guarantee a cost effective test program (test time) with the appropriate test coverage.
- You are able to contribute to the characterization activities and to conduct analysis in order to validate the design of the product. If required, you take all necessary actions to guarantee a successful redesign at smallest cost.
- You have working knowledge of automotive quality systems to make sure that the projects meets Melexis and customer quality requirements. You contribute to FMEA studies, 4D-8D reports, 6 Sigma, Cpk & RnR analyses.
- You deliver the appropriate documents to the customer and the internal organization to keep track of the internal milestones, decisions of findings. You display a professional presentation skill
- You can deal with customer needs in the right way and communicate decisions in a correct and assertive way, thinking and talking empathetically. You are familiar with legal aspects of contract negotiations
Requirements:
- Master in (micro-)electronics with more than 10 years of related experience in a micro-electronics environment.
- Successful design track record (in both analog and digital domain would be a plus)
- Broad acquired knowledge in test, assembly and quality systems
- Profound knowledge of the requirements of a production environment
- Fluency in English is a must. Knowledge of any other major European / Asian language is a strong asset
- Working experience in virtual teams and able to integrate different cultural backgrounds
- Medium travel intensity
